HIRING UNIT:  SCHOOL OF DENTAL MEDICINE (ALTON)
                         SECTION OF BEHAVIORAL SCIENCE

TITLE/RANK:
   Clinical Instructor/Assistant Professor (depending upon qualifications)

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:  The Department of Growth, Development and Structure, Section of Behavioral Science invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position.  Responsibilities include teaching dental students interpersonal skills and behavioral/psychological approaches to management of dental patients, including communication skills, learning theory/behavior modification, anxiety and pain control, etc.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT:   Part-time,  non-tenure track, spring semester, beginning January 2013. 

SOURCE OF FUNDS:    State

SALARY RANGE:   commensurate with qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:  A minimum of M.S./M.A. in  Psychology or related field is required.  Ph.D. preferred.  Cognitive/behavioral orientation preferred.  Training in behavioral medicine and/or teaching experience highly desirable.
