HIRING UNIT:  SCHOOL OF NURSING

TITLE/RANK:   Assistant Professor

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:  Major teaching responsibilities in undergraduate or graduate program in the areas of medical-surgical, pediatrics, maternal-child, public health, nurse practitioner, health care, nursing administration or school nurse.  Graduate teaching responsibilities in public health, nurse practitioner, medical-surgical, health care and nursing administration.  Programs are CCNE accredited.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT:  Academic, Tenure-track, 9 months.  100% appointment.

SOURCE OF FUNDS:    Statel

SALARY RANGE:    Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:  Master’s degree in Nursing required; doctorate preferred.  Doctorate (PhD, EdD, DNS, DNSc) required for graduate faculty position.  Teaching experience and research experience preferred.  Pediatrics, maternal-child, public health, medical-surgical, nurse practitioner, health care, nursing administration or school nursing education and experience highly desirable.  RN licensure in Illinois and Missouri required.
