HIRING UNIT: SCHOOL OF NURSING
TITLE/RANK: Nurse Anesthesia Instructor/Lecturer
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Periodically, the School of Nursing may have various openings throughout the year (AY 2012-2013 and summer 2013) for various full time, non-tenure, academic year or academic year term instructor appointments and part-time, non-tenure, semester term Lecturer appointments. Major teaching responsibilities in graduate programs in the area of Nurse Anesthesia. School of Nursing is CCNE accredited through 2018 and Anesthesia Program accredited by COA through 2020.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT: Academic, non-tenure, term, percent of appointment varies.
SOURCE OF FUNDS: State
SALARY RANGE: commensurate with training and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: A Master’s degree in Nursing is required; doctorate preferred. Doctorate (PhD, EdD, DNS, DNSc) required for graduate faculty position. Teaching experience and research experience encouraged, but not necessary. Nurse Anesthesia clinical practice is required. RN and APRN licensure in Illinois and Missouri required.
