HIRING UNIT:  COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES

TITLE/RANK:  Lecturer/Instructor

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:  Full time, non-tenure, academic year term Instructor appointments and part-time, non-tenure, semester term Lecturer appointments may be available for AY 2009-2010 and Summer 2010 teaching in any of the following College of Arts and Sciences departments:  Anthropology, Art and Design, Biological Science, Chemistry, English Language and Literature, Environmental Sciences, Foreign Languages and Literature, Geography, Historical Studies, Mass Communications, Mathematics and Statistics, Music, Physics, Political Science, Public Administration and Policy Analysis, Sociology and Criminal Justice Studies, Social Work, Speech Communication and Theater and Dance.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT:  Academic – Fall 09 – Summer 2010.  Percent of appointment is varied.

SOURCE OF FUNDS:  State

SALARY RANGE:  Commensurate with training and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:  Advanced degree in discipline of instruction (or equivalent professional experience in Fine Arts) is required.

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: March 15, 2009 for Fall of 2009; October 1, 2009 for Spring of 2010; and March 1, 2010 for Summer of 2010 or until position is filled.
