TITLE/RANK: Assistant Professor-Modern British History
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Responsibilities include teaching, research, and professional activities, as well as other duties associated with academic teaching positions. This position is in the field of modern British history, with a particular emphasis on teaching the British Empire of the 19th and 20th centuries. Attractive secondary fields include the history of South Asia. Teaching will be at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in addition to the second half of the World History survey and departmental core courses in historical methodology. Position will carry a 3-3 teaching load.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT: Academic, tenure track, beginning August 2013, 100%.
SOURCE OF FUNDS: State
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with education, training and/or experience.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: ABD’s close to completion may apply. If Ph.D. is not completed at the beginning of the contract period, a one-year term appointment will be made at the rank of Instructor.
