HIRING UNIT:  COLLEGE OF ARTS & SCIENCES
                           MUSIC DEPARTMENT

TITLE/RANK:  Assistant Professor of Piano

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:  Serve as Director of Keyboard Studies; recruit for the keyboard area; teach Applied Piano, Piano Ensemble, Piano Literature, Piano Practicum; coordinate student accompanists; perform actively as a soloist and collaborator on and off campus; teach general education courses; other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT: Continuing tenure-track contract for academic-year (nine-month) appointment beginning Fall 2012, 100%.

SOURCE OF FUNDS:  State

SALARY RANGE:  Commensurate with credentials, qualifications, and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:  Terminal degree required.  (If terminal degree is not completed by the beginning of the contract period, a one year term appointment will be made at the rank of Instructor.) Successful candidate will have strong credentials in both college-level teaching and performance.
