HIRING UNIT: EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP
TITLE/RANK: Assistant Professor
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Teaching and advising graduate students in educational administration; engaging in scholarly activity; and participating in departmental, school, and university service, as well as service to the profession. The position includes some off-campus and evening work.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT: Academic, tenure-track, 100%, continuing 9-month with opportunities for summer employment, based on availability and enrollment.

SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with credentials, qualifications, and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Earned doctorate in educational administration or equivalent by appointment date. Clearly demonstrated potential for scholarly activity with a background in qualitative and/or quantitative research and research procedures. Teach graduate courses in at least three of the following areas; organization and administration of education, school, law, educational supervision, educational planning and evaluation, human relations and communications, program development, the principalship, and courses in the superintendent’s program. Successful experience as a school administrator as well as a demonstrated commitment to the preparation of individuals for leadership positions in schools/districts with diverse populations. The Department seeks faculty committed to working in a culturally diverse community.
QUALIFICATION PREFERRED: Experience or strong interest in integrating technology into the university instructional program. Experience in working with doctoral students in anticipation of a proposed Ed.D. program. Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, advising graduate students, and engaging in internal/external service.
