The following is a current civil service vacancy at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.  Applicants compete by examination.  If you are interested in applying for this position, please complete and submit a Civil Service application to the Office of Human Resources.

HOUSING REPRESENTATIVE
–UNIVERSITY HOUSING
Description:
This position serves two major roles:  (1) TMA (work order) Administrator-coordinates updates with the IT-TMA DBA, works as a liaison between IT Services and University Housing, and maintains database for TMA software adding new areas, task codes, etc. as needed.  (2)  Transition Coordinator-coordinates receiving apartments from check out information, coordinates flow of cleaning, and coordinates transition space changes and all related correspondence/forms.  The Housing Representative supervises the position that serves as key control for Cougar Village including key, core replacement coordination, and reconciliation of key documents and ordering forms.  This position supervises related clerical staff and provides guidance and support to ensure TMA software is properly utilized to run efficiently and that proper policies and procedures are followed.   General computer skills with an understanding of TMA (work order software) and Odyssey software are essential.  This position performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications:

1.   High School Diploma or equivalent
2.   Any combination totaling two years from the following categories:
       a)   housing, residential life, hospitality, business, or closely related work experiences
       b)   college course work in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel Administration, Hospitality Sciences, Business Sciences, Social or Behavioral Sciences, and/or related disciplines, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
       ●    30 semester hours equals six (6) months
       ●    60 semester hours or Associate’s Degree equals one (1) year
       ●    90 semester hours equals two (2) years
       ●    120 semester hours or Bachelor’s Degree equals three (3) years
       ●    Master Degree or higher equals four (4) years

Starting salary:  $2,407 per month
