The following is a current civil service vacancy at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.  Applicants compete by examination.  If you are interested in applying for this position, please complete and submit a Civil Service application to the Offices of Human Resources.

HORTICULTURIST
–FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
Description:
The purpose of this position is to perform skilled labor in connection with grounds maintenance or construction. Under general supervision maintains and trim gardens and other bed areas to promote their health and appearance. 

Minimum qualifications:
1.  Bachelor’s degree in horticulture
2.  one year of work experience in a supervisory capacity on landscape construction or maintenance.

Starting salary:  $16.96 per hour
