ELECTRICIAN GENERAL FOREMAN - FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

Description:  Under general supervision and direction of the Assistant Director for Building Maintenance, this position is responsible for planning, assigning, directing, and inspecting the work of electricians, other assigned personnel, vendors, and contractors performing work on related to facility electrical systems, control systems, and fire and other alarm systems; generators; exterior building, walkway, street, and parking lot light systems; and equipment.  This position is also responsible for operation on or related to campus electrical utility systems.  The Electrician General Foreman may perform other related tasks in support of the department's mission and goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
1.   High school graduation or equivalent.

2.   Experience sufficient to qualify as a journeyman Electrician, with a minimum of nine years of actual work at the trade, including apprenticeship or vocational training.  The trade for this purpose shall include work normally performed by Electricians i.e. installing, maintaining, and/or repairing electrical systems, generators, transformers, motors and other electrical/electronic controls, electrical switchboard and other apparatus utilizing electricity, electrical, electronic and direct digital control systems, fire and alarm systems, and associated electrical, electronic, and fiber optic equipment.

Additional Skills and Attributes Preferred:
Candidates with recent high voltage experience are desired. 

Starting Salary:  $40.16 per hour
