HireTouch - Access for System Users

HireTouch is SIUE's new online position management and applicant tracking system.  HR is now ready to begin using HireTouch for the Civil Service, Extra-help, and Administrative/Professional Staff position approval and incumbent placement process.

Department staff who will be responsible for position management and applicant tracking processes will need to have access to the HireTouch system.  The typical roles within HireTouch include:

  • Initiator - This role creates new position requests (for both new and replacement positions), which typically consists of request to hire, position control, position description questionnaire (PDQ), and justification to fill position.
  • Hiring Manager - This role coordinates candidate review and selection efforts and has signature authority to approve hiring a selected candidate.
  • Approver - This role has signature authority and approves some level of position requests. Typical Approver roles for Position Requests are Fiscal Officer and Dean/Director. Please indicate either Fiscal Officer, Dean/Director, or Both.
  • Interviewer - Assist with review and selection of candidate(s).  Also may assist with coordinating the interviewing process i.e. scheduling interviews.  This role does not have signature authority to approve hiring a selected candidate. 

How to Request Access (when there is a position opening):

  • Please complete the System Access Request Form and send to Information Technology Services, Box 1068 or fax ext. 3055
  • ITS will contact HR once the System Access Request Form is received
  • HR will contact the requestor regarding functional roles within HireTouch and assign the appropriate access and forward an e-mail to confirm the access and include instructions regarding accessing the HireTouch system
