Students who attend classes the previous spring semester and have a housing contract for the fall semester may live on campus during the summer without being enrolled in a class. Otherwise, you must be enrolled for a minimum of one course during the summer semester. The summer housing deadline is April 1.
University Housing offers summer housing is limited locations throughout Evergreen Hall and Cougar Village. Current Bluff, Prairie, and Woodland Hall residents who are moving to Cougar Village or Evergreen Hall for the summer are required to check-out of their hall by 5 p.m. Friday, May 3, and will not be able to move into their summer assignment until 10 a.m. Sunday, May 19. Current Cougar Village and Evergreen Hall residents who are staying for the summer session will receive notification from University Housing as to when they will need to move into their summer assignments. We do our best to move students staying for the summer into their fall assignment, if possible. We work to minimize moves for each resident.
Current Evergreen Hall and Cougar Village residents with summer contracts do not have to check out of their current space for the two week period between the end of the spring semester and the beginning of the summer semester. Current Bluff, Prairie, and Woodland Hall residents who have a summer contract are required to check out of their current space by 5 p.m. Friday, May 3.
Current University Housing residents and non-residents can apply for summer housing online at siue.edu/housing/apply. Assignment emails will be sent by email in mid-April.
University Housing has numerous leadership opportunities. From Area Council to NRHH, our staff takes the opportunity to get to know and understand the strengths of each resident.
