Opened in Fall 2007, Evergreen Hall is the newest Residence Hall to join the University Housing family at SIU Edwardsville. Our fourth residence hall, located at the corner of Circle Drive and Whiteside Road, will accommodate 511 residents and will bring the total on campus student population to approximately 3500.
Evergreen will house upperclass and graduate students in a mostly apartment-style atmosphere. Prospective residents are able to choose between single rooms, suites with living rooms, or four-bedroom (four or six person) apartments with full kitchen facilities. (Click here to view living unit layouts.) 72% of the living units contain private bedrooms. This facility, like the other living facilities on campus, is smoke free.

The three and a half story, 190,000 square foot building will also contain a 4,800 sq. ft. multifunction room, two classrooms, fitness facility, four student organization offices, a conference room, and 24-hour computer lab. The building will feature both wireless and ethernet based computer connectivity. Land-line phone services will be available in each air-conditioned and fully furnished living unit.
Residents of Evergreen Hall are able to enjoy the community overlook, a half-court basketball court, walking trail, and barbecue area. A 550-space parking lot is conveniently located next to the facility. The building has been designed to be environmentally friendly with sustainability as major design criteria.
