Consider a Living-Learning Community (LLC)!
If you want to explore an academic or social interest both in and out of the classroom...want to be around others who share your interests and goals...or live with a smaller group of close-knit students...consider participating in one of our upper class living-learning communities.
The Second Year Experience (SYE) in Evergreen Hall is for sophomores and second year freshmen. This unique program gives you the opportunity to be part of a small community of students who have the same interests as you: strengthening academic, leadership, and career exploration skills. The SYE will also help you focus on the increased challenges of your sophomore year.
Residents in Cougar Village can take advantage of a new way to live together next year...by creating a Themed Community! A Themed Community is a group of students who have chosen to live together around a specific topic or interest. The opportunity for creating a theme is only limited by your imagination. Themed Communities may focus on service learning, cultural awareness, a degree program like Nursing or Engineering, a hobby like aviation, a mission like political refugees, or language development.
