Move In Crew

Thank you for your interest in the University Housing Move In Crew!  We appreciate your willingness to help welcome new freshmen & their families to SIUE.

Sign-up for Fall 2009 Move In Crew is closed. If you signed up by July 1, you will receive an assignment via U.S. Mail and SIUE e-mail. Assignments will be sent out July 15. Make sure to check your SIUE e-mail account.  

What does it mean to be a Move-In Crew volunteer?
You would be one of hundreds of students who volunteer to help new freshman move into their residence hall. Volunteers sign up to work one or more 3 hour shifts where they help new residents move-in.

Why do I want to be a part of the Move-In Crew?
Move-In Crew volunteers move into their Fall Housing assignment early, receive 2 free meals, earn volunteer hours and feel good about helping new residents move-in! (Remember, you were a new resident once, too!)

What do I need to do?

1. Register online to volunteer.

2. Attend mandatory Move-In Crew meeting on Thursday, August 20th at 5:30.

3. Help new students move-in on Friday, August 21st!

Is there a deadline?
The deadline to register is July 1, 2009. Shift assignments will be mailed via U.S. Postal Service (make sure you give us your summer address!) and e-mail no later than July 15, 2009.
