What does it mean to be a Move-In Crew volunteer?
You would be one of hundreds of students who volunteer to help new freshman move into their residence hall. Volunteers sign up to work one or more 3 hour shifts where they help new residents move-in. This year the number of volunteers will be limited to 525 - volunteer early!
Why do I want to be a part of the Move-In Crew?
Move-In Crew volunteers move into their Fall Housing assignment early, receive a free meal, earn volunteer hours and feel good about helping new residents move-in! (Remember, you were a new resident once, too!)
Who can be part of the Move-In Crew?
This opportunity is available to all upper class SIUE students. You cannot volunteer if you are an incoming freshmen moving into Bluff, Prairie, or Woodland Halls. These volunteers are to move your belongings!
What do I need to do?
Attend mandatory Move-In Crew meeting on Wednesday, August 14th at 4:30 p.m. (Please note new time).
Is there a deadline?
The deadline to register is July 1, 2013. However, we are only accepting the first 525 volunteers so make sure to register early. Shift assignments will be e-mailed to your SIUE e-mail account no later than July 18, 2013.
