Living Guide

The University Housing Living Guide is a resource that provides important information regarding Housing policies, resources on campus, and much more. For questions you may have that are not answered here, please contact your Resident Assistant or any other Housing professional staff member. One of our goals is to equip our residents with the tools they need to be successful members of their community. The Living Guide will help provide resources to get you there.

Cable and TV Service

Madison County Transit (MCT) – MCT routes can be accessed at the Hairpin Drive or by obtaining a transfer at other points. There is a route from Cougar Village stops to the Hairpin multiple times throughout the day. Call MCT at (618) 931‑7433 or www.mct.org for more information.

Bicycles – It is strongly encouraged that all bicycles are registered with University Police. Bicycles may not be stored inside residence halls or on/in Cougar Village breezeways, hallways or balconies, but must be locked to bike racks located near the buildings. Bikes locked to benches, trees, or lamp posts will be removed.

Pest Control

Information Release Policy – If it is your desire to have a personal information including local address and phone number withheld from the public, complete and sign an “SIUE Directory Information Hold Request/Cancellation Form.” The completed form must be returned to the Service Center. Students can complete an Information Release form in the Central Housing Office if they wish to grant their parent/guardian access to their Housing information.

University Housing Facilities Management (UHFM) will manage any maintenance issues in your Housing unit. The best way to reach UHFM is by submitting a Maintenance Request online.
