Welcome to SIUE and University Housing! Whether you are returning to University Housing or a transfer joining us for the first time, we are excited to have you part of our upperclass communities.
A paper version of the below Check-in instructions are included in the assignment letter sent to your home.
Evergreen Hall move-in is Saturday, August 20, 2016 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Check-in will take place in the Evergreen Hall Multi-Function Room. If you are checking in after 5 p.m. on August 20, 2016 you can check in at the Evergreen Front Desk.
Cougar Village move-in begins on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 8 a.m. Residents must check in at the Cougar Village Commons Building. Please pay close attention to the hours below; students will not be able to check in when the Commons Building is closed.

Step 1: Drive to Evergreen Hall and park your vehicle in the Evergreen Lot. Do not park in Service Parking, the traffic circle or other restricted spots. Residents must check-in at the Multi-Function Room before they proceed to their assigned space or to the traffic circle.
Step 2: Go to the Evergreen Hall Multi-Function Room located on the entry level (follow the signage). You will check-in and receive your room key and other important information. Please remember to bring your Cougar Card (or another form of photo identification). Due to the number of students moving in, please expect a delay, especially prior to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Step 3: You will be given a line number to drive to the Evergreen Hall traffic circle. ONLY ONE VEHICLE PER FAMILY MAY UNLOAD AT THE TRAFFIC CIRCLE BETWEEN 8 A.M. AND 5 P.M. Other vehicles may be unloaded after 5 p.m. or from the parking lot.
Your vehicle should remain in the Evergreen Hall parking lot until your line number is called. Line numbers will be announced in the Evergreen Hall Multi-Function Room. If you wish, you may bypass the traffic circle after you check-in and begin moving your belongings from the Evergreen Hall parking lot. Please note that moving carts are not allowed to be taken to the Evergreen Hall parking lot, they are reserved for vehicles parked in the traffic circle.
Step 4: When your line number is called, you may proceed to your assigned space and to the traffic circle to begin moving in. Carts will be available to check-out in the Multi-Function Room to move your belongings from your vehicle parked in the traffic circle. Only one vehicle will be allowed in the traffic circle until after 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 20.
Step 1: Drive to the Cougar Village Commons Building and park your vehicle in 5-G or 5-F. Do not park in Service Parking or in other restricted spots. Residents must check-in at the Commons Building BEFORE they precede to their apartment. Please pay close attention to the hours below. Students will not be able to check-in when the Commons Building is closed.
Step 2: Staff will direct you around the Commons building to the check-in location. You will receive directions on how to check-in and receive your room key as well as other important information. Please remember to bring your student ID (or another form of photo identification). Due to the number of students moving in, please expect a short delay, especially prior to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday or prior to 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
Step 3: Once you have checked-in at the Cougar Village Commons, you may proceed to your assigned apartment to begin moving in.
Parking: Sidewalk gates will be up on the 400-side during Opening Weekend to allow residents easier access to their apartments on both the 400 and 500 sides. If you utilize the inner-sidewalk for unloading, please follow the guidelines below:

University Housing Facilities Management (UHFM) will manage any maintenance issues in your Housing unit. The best way to reach UHFM is by submitting a Maintenance Request online.
