What to Bring


Here is a list of what students commonly bring with them to University Housing:

*Please note there was an error in the Bluff, Prairie and Woodland Hall brochure that was sent home in the assignment packet. Microwaves are not allowed in Bluff, Prairie and Woodland Halls.*

What NOT to Bring

  • full sized refrigerators (only units up to 5.0 cu.ft.)
  • pets (other than fish in an aquarium)
  • firearms or explosive devices
  • controlled substances
  • alcohol containers empty or full
  • candles with wicks intact/incense
  • ceiling fans
  • cooking appliances with open elements (i.e.-hot plates, toasters, toaster ovens, Foreman Grills)
  • single and multiple use extension cords (must be U.L. approved outlet strip with fuse or breaker)
  • microwaves (one is provided on each wing of the Residence Halls)
  • halogen lamps or desk lamps with a halogen bulb
  • high volume squirt guns (e.g. "Super Soakers")
