Summer is a great time to experience SIUE. Small class size, unique courses, and flexible scheduling make it easy to continue making progress toward a degree or to explore a new area of study. Make it easy on yourself by living on campus during the summer! University Housing offers affordable apartment-style or residence hall options for the entire summer semester or for a five-week session.
Students who attended classes in the previous spring semester and are scheduled for classes during the fall semester may live on campus during the summer without attending classes. Otherwise, you must be enrolled for a minimum of one course during the summer semester.
Cougar Village offers comfortably furnished two- and three-bedroom apartments with full kitchens, Internet access, air conditioning, expanded basic cable, and most have balconies or patios. Utilities are also included in the total housing costs. Laundry facilities are located throughout the apartment complex. Residents can utilize tennis and basketball courts or enjoy our lakeside walking path. You can choose an optional meal plan or do your own cooking - it's up to you!
For those who may prefer a residence hall option, housing is offered in Evergreen Hall for Summer 2009. Evergreen is a mostly apartment style atmosphere. Students can choose between single rooms, suites with a living room or four-bedroom (four or six person) apartments with full kitchen facilities. Similar to the other residence halls on campus, each wing has an academic lounge for quiet study along with a social lounge. All apartments & suites are air conditioned and include connections to the SIUE network as well as wireless connectivity, expanded basic cable, and all utilities. Residents have access to a 24-hour computer lab and laundry facilities. A basketball court is right outside or a small fitness center inside when you need a little relaxation. Limited food service will be available.
