Major Explorations houses first year students who are undecided or have undeclared academic majors and are interested in exploring different majors. This community is designed for students to explore the major and careers that are best suited to their personal goals.
Students may take self-assessments such as Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and StrengthsQuest in addition in pursuit of choosing the major that best suits their goals and aspirations.
Students will live together and be enrolled together in a linked class focused on major selection and career exploration. This linked class may not be a required course in your degree plan. This community works directly with a faculty fellow and may interact with other faculty members as well.
Major Explorations is located in Bluff Hall.
New students wishing to become part of a Focused Interest Community should indicate their interest on their University Housing application.
