This community houses intended pre-majors of the School of Education including Special Education, Secondary Education, as well students studying in the Department of Psychology.
Students who are interested in majors within the School of Education will live together as they take similar classes. This includes students majoring in kinesiology and psychology.
Students in this community may have the opportunity to visit classrooms or participate in opportunities for undergraduate research in psychology.
Traditional events for this program include assisting the Family Resource Center in Cougar Village, visiting the SIUE daycare; students can also participate in the educational reading program in Madison County.
Students in this community are pre-registered into a section of Speech (SPC) 103. This class is a general education requirement and thus fits into any major degree plan.
For the 2013-2014 academic year, the Education FIC will be located in Prairie Hall.
