Eco-House is a small, upperclass community designed to support sustainable living, conservation, and community service conveniently located next to the Gardens at SIUE.
Eco-House is located in a stand-alone house, located on the edge of Cougar Village and Cougar Lake. There are 2 shared bedrooms, 5 private bedrooms, 3 full baths, 3 half baths, living room, full kitchen, laundry area, study lounge, and community space. The house also includes a back patio overlooking Cougar Lake. Eco-House is a co-ed living environment with shared facilities.
The cost to live in Eco-House is the same as Cougar Village in either a private or shared room, respectively.
This is a great opportunity for residents to make an impact on a program from the very beginning. Opportunities that will be available to members of this FIC include: volunteering with the Gardens at SIUE, creating and sustaining a community garden, practicing conservation efforts, participation in Recylemania, and potential community partnerships.
