Desk Managers are responsible for the operation of the front desk at the Residence Halls and Cougar Village Commons. To serve the residents of the building, the Desk Manager will be required to exhibit good quality service, monitor the security system, control access to the building/living area/administrative offices, provide general information, distribute and maintain forms utilized in each area, assist with key control, coordinate communication between on-duty staff members, assist with the use of meeting spaces and public areas of the area, assist residents with maintenance problems, and other administrative duties.
Customer service skills required for the position include: handling resident concerns, receiving and directing calls and inquiries with a professional manner, displaying a willingness to work with people other than staff members, and being able to communicate assertively.
