Single Student Cancellation Request Form
If canceling prior to May 1st, submit a written request to the Central Housing Office requesting to cancel your Housing contract. The $200.00 advance payment & $75.00 security deposit will be credited to your student account.
If canceling after May 1st but prior to August 1st, submit a written request to the Central Housing Office requesting to cancel your Housing contract. The $200.00 advance payment & $75.00 security deposit will be forfeited.
If canceling August 1st but prior to the first day of University Housing move-in for the Fall term, submit a Request for Cancellation of Single Student Housing Contract form to the Central Housing Office. This form can be found here: Single Student Cancellation Form - Aug 1st or picked up in the Central Housing Office located in 0248 Rendleman Hall. For the cancellation request to be approved, it must meet one of the eight approved reasons. If the cancellation request meets one of the eight approved reasons, the cancellation request will be approved. The $200.00 advance payment and $75.00 security deposit will be forfeited. If the cancellation request does not meet one of the eight approved reasons, the cancellation request will be denied.

If canceling prior to December 1st, submit a Request for Cancellation of Single Student Housing Contract form to the Central Housing Office. This is available above or may be picked up in the Central Housing Office located in room 0248 Rendleman Hall. If canceling prior to the first day of University Housing move-in for the Summer term, submit a written request to the Central Housing Office requesting to cancel your Housing contract. The $200.00 advance payment will be credited to your student account.
If the cancellation request meets one of the eight approved reasons, the cancellation request will be approved. There will be a $250.00 cancellation fee (before December 1st) or $300 cancellation fee (after December 1st and before the beginning of the Spring term) applied to the student account once the student has properly checked out. If the student is graduating and the cancellation request has been received in the Central Housing Office prior to the December 1st deadline, no cancellation fee will be applied.
If it is an approved cancellation, schedule a check-out appointment with your Resident Assistant at least 24 hours in advance of the desired check-out day & time. Failure to properly check-out will result in additional penalties.
If your request does not meet one of the eight approved reasons, the cancellation request will be denied. The student will still be responsible for the remainder of the University Housing contract, regardless if the student lives there or not.

If canceling on or after the first day of University Housing move-in for the Summer term, all cancellations will be denied. The student will still be responsible for the entire summer contract charges, regardless if the student lives there or not.
