Family Housing
Families are important to us in University Housing. There are many services and programs provided just for family housing members. Approximately 120 families reside in two and three bedroom furnished and unfurnished apartments at Cougar Village. The complex also houses over 1400 single students in apartments adjacent to, but mostly separate from, the family apartment buildings.
Advantages to Living in Family Housing
- Installment Payments include all utilities - gas, electric, water, trash, and expanded basic cable television. Utility bills never fluxuate, even in the hottest summers and coldest winters.
- Laundry facilities are located in buildings 405, 429, and the Commons Building.
- A modern playground is available within the complex.
- Local school buses pick-up children residing at Cougar Village.
- Free public transportation to the central campus (including the Early Childhood Center) is available, with a small fee charged for transportation to surrounding communities...including St. Louis via MetroLink.
- Programming is provided to meet the special needs of Cougar Village families.
- The Commons Building (located across the road from the family housing area) contains a computer lab, television lounge, recreation areas, and a small grill and convenience store.
