All single student apartments are fully furnished, air conditioned, smoke-free and either two-bedroom or three-bedrooms. Applicants may choose a shared bedroom (two people in a bedroom designed for two) or a private bedroom (one person in a bedroom designed for one). Private bedrooms are in very limited supply.
Residents enjoy the same amenities as residence hall students. It's easy to get to know your neighbors, especially with the number of activities offered to support upper class students - both academically and socially. Cougar Village is also home to two upper class Focused Interest Communities, International House and Cougar Enterprises.
Cougar Village residents have the opportunity to participate in a number of academic and social programs. Residents can run for the Cougar Village Council executive board, attend Area Council meetings or join the Residence Housing Association (RHA). Both the Cougar Village Council and RHA host programs and social opportunities, influence Housing policy and work with other organizations within Housing and on-campus.
