Apartment Furnishings & Layouts
Cougar Village apartments are approximately 980 sq. ft. Floor plans vary with the type of assignment and location of apartment.
Cougar Village apartments are completely furnished for comfortable living. Each student has a single bed (mattress: 36" x 80"), desk, and chest of drawers. The living room is furnished with one couch, two overstuffed chairs, and two end tables with lamps. There is also a dining room table with four chairs. All floors are tile and all windows have window treatments. Each apartment is equipped with a jack providing basic expanded cable. In addition, all living units in University Housing are smoke free.

Security
Cougar Village apartments are regularly patrolled by University Police. A University Housing staff Member is on-call 24 hours a day. The apartment complex is well lit, including exterior lighting on all apartment buildings. Police call boxes are available throughout the complex.

Commons Building (650-2900)
The Cougar Village Commons Building is located in the middle of the 500 side apartments. The Information Desk, 500 side laundry room, lounge with large screen TV, snack and drink machines, computer lab, and the Common's Grill and Convenience Store are all located within the Commons Building. It is the center for Cougar Village activities. The Common's Grill carries a selection of convenience store items, snacks, and has a full-service grill with a quick-tasty menu. Meal Plan participants may use their Meal/I.D. card at the Common's Grill. Located in the Commons Building, the Common's Grill hours are as follows: Monday - Friday: 11:30am-8:30p.m.; Saturday: Noon - 4 p.m.; and Sunday-Closed. Commons Building hours are as follows (summer, breaks and holiday hours vary): Monday - Wednesday: 8 a.m. - Midnight; Thursday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 1 a.m.; Saturday: 10 a.m. - 1 a.m.; and, Sunday: 10 a.m. - Midnight.
Madison County Transit (MCT) - Bus Service
A free bus service runs from Cougar Village locations to the central campus Monday - Friday at eight - ten minute intervals and at wider intervals on Saturdays. Bus schedules are available at the Commons Building Front Desk.
