PURPOSE: The Excellence in Graduate Education (EGE) program supports projects that enhance graduate courses and programs. This request for proposals seeks projects proposing innovation in courses or the curriculum and projects that support graduate student recruitment. Projects are encouraged that propose the development of: 1) activities supporting graduate recruitment and enhancing diversity; 2) projects that improve the quality and rigor of graduate courses and programs; 3) new post-baccalaureate certificates; 4) new interdisciplinary degree programs; and 5) innovation in graduate courses.
AWARDS: Up to $52,000 is available for this year's program. Awards typically average around $3000. Funds will be awarded for all line items except equipment costing $500 or more. Unallowable activities include support for research, equipment, and library collection development.
