HIRING UNIT: ILLINOIS EDUCATION RESEARCH COUNCIL       

 

ASSISTANTSHIP CATEGORY: (General, Research or Teaching): Research

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Graduate Assistant will assist with a new funded project “Principal Preparation Implementation Review Project” and will assist with scheduling of interviews, conducting phone interviews, coding and qualitative data, ascertaining and summarizing research literature, and other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Experience working with data.  Good organizational skills.  Personable and good potential interviewing skills.  Background in education/social science research methods.  Experience reading and analyzing education/social science research.  Desired but not required qualifications include: qualitative data transcription and coding experience, research interviewing background, quantitative data analysis skills.

 

PERIOD OF APPOINTMENT:  July 1, 2014- May 31, 2015 start date negotiable

 

SALARY:  $900/month
