Hiring Unit: Morris University Center - Administration
Job Description: The Training and Development Assistant, under the supervision of the Morris University Center Assistant Director, is responsible for assisting internal University Center departments with training and development needs. The Training and Development Assistant duties include:
Collaborating with the Assistant Director to determine training needs for University Center departments (Dining Services, Bookstore, Textbook Service, Cougar Lanes, Marketing, etc.).
Developing training lesson plans
Facilitating trainings to University Center units
Build, develop, and administer a leadership-training program for potential new leaders within the University Center.
Qualifications Required: Candidate must be admitted into a related graduate program of study at SIUE. Preference is given to applicants with experience in training, education, and communications. In addition, applicants should possess strong communication and organization skills, while having a strong character to manage other staff members. The applicant should also be able to work independently, communicate well with superiors, and willing to learn new skills.
Period of Appointment: Summer 2013, possibility of renewal
Salary: $896-$1100 per month (50% appointment) 20 hours per week
