Job Description: The Marketing Assistant, under the supervision of the University Center Marketing Specialist, is responsible for supervising the student graphic design staff and assisting internal Morris University Center departments with developing new ways of reaching out to students. The Marketing Assistant duties include, but are not limited to:

Fostering communication between departments and Morris University Center Marketing Office
Assigning, pricing and filing work orders
Tracking designer work load
Working in light web design and social media as part of promotions
Assisting in part of the creative process behind comprehensive marketing strategies
Planning annual Morris University Center Craft Fair
Answering customer questions in person and on the phone

Qualifications Required: Candidate must be admitted into a related program of study. Preference is given to applicants with experience in marketing, communications, or graphic design. In addition, applicants should possess strong communication and organization skills, while having a strong character to manage other staff members. the applicant should also be able to work independently, communicate well with superiors, and willing to learn new skills.

Period of Appointment: Summer 2013, possibility of renewal

Salary: $896-$1100 per month (50% appointment) 20 hours per week
