Job Description: The Emergency Management & Safety Graduate Assistant position is highly visible on campus and meets with University departments to promote, educate, and train the University community in matters pertaining to emergency procedures. The Graduate Assistant will assist the Director of Emergency Management & Safety with maintaining the SIUE Emergency Management Plan, hazard mitigation, and response and recovery efforts. Additionally, the graduate student will assist with a number of projects within the department including the development of training and educational programs. This position will provide opportunities to put into practice the theories and skills obtained through the study of speech communication and in general business practices.
Qualifications Required: Graduate student with knowledge of emergency and safety policies and procedures at SIUE
Period of Appointment: January 31, 2013 through January 31, 2013 with possibility of renewal
Salary: $896 per month
