Job Description: The Accounting Assistant, under the supervision of the Business Manager, is responsible for the supervision of the student accountants and secretaries who work in the Business Office of the Morris University Center. The Accounting Assistant will assist in the preparation of the financial statements and payroll for the University Center. The assistant will also help the Business Manager with special projects as the need arises. He or she will also supervise the costing system for Dining Services. The assistant will also be responsible for facilitating the daily operations of the Business Office of the Morris University Center.

Qualifications Required: Candidate must be admitted to a business related program of study at SIUE and maintain 6-12 hour load per semester. The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. First year graduate preferred. Experience in accounting, costing, payroll, personnel supervision, and computer applications desirable.

Period of Appointment: Fall and Spring- Renewable

Salary: $896-$1100 per month plus tuition waiver (50% appointment)
