East St. Louis Tour

See significant economic, political, and cultural landmarks of East St. Louis, and have a better understanding of what happened in this "All American" city. Andrew Theising, Institute for Urban Research, will conduct tour. Bus leaves at 8:30 a.m. from SIUE Hairpin Drive (under the flagpoles) and will return to campus by 11:30a.m. Registration Required with jeudy@siue.edu

Human Subjects' Protection Workshop

"A Guide through the New IRB Forms"

Presented by the SIUE Institutional Review Board (IRB) Chair, Ann Dirks-Linhorst, Professor in the Dept. of Sociology & Criminal Justice Studies and IRB Administrator, Linda Skelton, this session will walk participants through the new forms now appearing on the IRB website.  Discussion will focus on changes, reasons for the new forms, and the importance of security measures based upon new federal regulations.  Participants are encouraged to bring their questions regarding upcoming protocols to this session for review and response.

Acknowledgement of the 2013 Paul Simon Outstanding Teacher-Scholar Award recipient, Dr. Andy Pomerantz,Professor in the Department of Psychology.
