Health Related Speed Networking

A session of a 3-minute "elevator speech" as you participate in a fast-paced, fun event meant to expose you to research on campus as well as regionally and inspire you to establish new, productive relationships. Researchers will share their topics in an accelerated fashion with a group of researchers sharing similar interests. Topic areas will include a wide range of biomedical and bio behavioral research areas of participating faculty in order to facilitate collaborations.

Workshop: Open Access to Research: A Guide to Policies & Resources for SIUE Faculty

Presentation by Steven Pryor, Director of Digital Initiatives and Technologies, Library & Information Services (LIS). This workshop will explore SIUE SPARK, the university's open access institutional repository.  Studies show significant advantages for authors who make open access versions of their work available; we will discuss how SIUE faculty can easily comply with the SIUE Open Access policy as well as reap the benefits of open access by posting their work in SPARK. Attendance is open to all.

The Chancellor will also acknowledge the 2016 Vaughnie J. Lindsay New Investigator Award recipient and the 2016 Distinguished Research Professor(s).
