Measures of Success

With limited resources, the Graduate School has secured significant external funding for research and public service projects to meet the emerging educational needs of the region

•  Through the support and services provided by the Graduate School, SIUE ranks within the top 10 percent of all master’s level universities in receiving federal funding for research and development. SIUE faculty and staff were awarded more than $27 million from external federal and private agencies in 2008.

•  The Graduate School facilitated success in gaining nationally recognized, prestigious grants from:

• National Institutes of Health
• National Institutes of Environmental Health Sciences
• National Endowment for the Humanities
• National Science Foundation

•  With limited resources, the Graduate School has offered 13 different internal faculty support programs that help stimulate research and creative activities across campus.
