The Summer 2008 James Walker Graduate Scholarship
The JAMES WALKER GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS are designed to increase the number of individuals receiving graduate degrees in the United States from families which have traditionally not had access to the opportunities of higher education and who, through his or her life, and/or cultural experiences, have unique and potentially positive contributions to make to the program, the discipline, and in the larger academic community. Fifteen $3,000 awards are available for Summer 2008. Admitted, full-time SIUE graduate students for the Summer 2008 term who are citizens or permanent residents of the USA are eligible to apply. Applicants must also be enrolled for at least six hours for the summer term. The deadline for applications is April 1, 2008. For further information see the FAQs and Instructions.
