This committee is responsible for maintaining communications with the Curriculum Council, the Professional and Academic Affairs Committees of each School, and the Research Committees of each School.
I. Functions of the Committee
A. Examine present policies and priorities which concern:
l. Graduate courses and programs and their relationship
to graduate students and graduate faculty.
2. Research activities and research support.
B. When applicable, recommend to the Council new policies and
priorities regarding A.l and A.2 above.
C. Nominate or appoint the following committees:
l. Research and Projects Advisory Board (nominate).
2. Research and Development Committee (nominate).
3. Animal Care Committee (recommend).
II. Membership and Number
A. Voting Members
l. Six Council members (including at least one student
and one Executive Committee member).
2. Non Council graduate faculty members not to exceed five.
B. Resource Members: Graduate School staff.
III. Selection Procedures
The Executive Committee of the Graduate Council makes committee
assignments.
IV. Historical Evolvement
The Educational and Research Policies Committee combines the
functions of planning, research administration, and educational
policy which were formerly channeled to three separate committees.
