Job Description:  General assistant provides instructional or related assistance but does not teach by direct contact in classroom, laboratory, etc.; Research assistant provides research assistance to one or more faculty members, usually through an approved research project.

Qualifications Required: Must be admitted into a graduate degree program at SIUE. Contact department chairs/program directors to obtain specific qualification requirements for specific departments.

Period of Appointment:  Fall 2008, Spring 2009, Summer 2009

Salary:   1st yr    50%    $846              2nd yr    50%       $901

               1st yr    25%    $395              2nd yr     25%      $422.50

Number of Openings: Varies by department and semester
