Job Description:  Assist individual/dual and team sport activities. Develop and conduct training clinics; recruit, train, schedule and evaluate student employees; promote intramural and club sports; assist with student payroll, budget planning, policy development, and the equipment inventory/purchasing process as necessary. Assist with campus-wide special events, departmental programming in the area of Aquatics and Outdoor Recreation. Assist with administrative duties. Twenty hours per week is expected.

Qualifications Required: Must be admitted into a graduate degree program at SIUE; have a thorough knowledge of officiating techniques and demonstrate strong communication and management skills. Will need to maintain CPR/First Aid certifications. A Bachelor’s degree in recreation, physical education, exercise physiology, or closely related field is required.

Period of Appointment:  August 1, 2008 – May 15, 2009 with possibility of renewal.

Salary:   $846.00 mo.
