The division of Student Affairs interacts with SIUE students on a daily basis through organizations, events, leadership training, volunteer opportunities, recognition programs, and general support.
Many of these activities are funded through private donations. A few prime examples are: the Kimmel Scholarship, which recognizes a student’s volunteer activities and community service; the Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship, which recognizes students who most exemplify Dr. King’s work and beliefs; and the Club Sports Development Fund in Campus Recreation, which helps support the University’s club sports programs. There are numerous other scholarships, awards, and development funds that recognize student efforts and provide additional funding to enhance student life on campus.
