The Meridian Society is a women’s philanthropic organization dedicated to supporting SIUE while learning more about financial and estate planning issues.
Probably best known for their Annual Art Auction, the Friends of Art work together to raise additional funds to support the faculty, staff and students in the Department of Art and Design.
Through their Annual Antique Show, the Good Buy Book Shop and other activities, the Friends of Lovejoy Library work to purchase additional resources for the Library. These resources benefit faculty and students in all academic areas.
Well-known for the Jazz Supper Dance and their Spring Gala, the Friends of Music work to raise funds for student scholarships and to heighten the regional awareness of the Department of Music and its students.
With its primary focus to raise money for student scholarships, the Friends of Theater and Dance also works to raise the community’s participation in theater and dance events on campus.
The newest Friends group, the Friends of Golf helped reinstate the Men’s Intercollegiate Golf Team at SIUE, while also supporting the Women’s Intercollegiate Golf Team.
Citing the rich history and considerable success the Cougar Intercollegiate Wrestlers have enjoyed, a group of volunteers formed the Friends of Wrestling to keep this team viable and competitive both on the mat and in the classroom.
The oldest friends groups associated with Intercollegiate Athletics, the Friends of Men's Basketball works to support the Men’s Intercollegiate Basketball Team.
The Cougar Softball Booster Club supports the SIUE Intercollegiate Softball Team with their time, energy, and gifts as well as by attending their games both at home and on-the-road.
