The Meridian Society has an annual business meeting in the spring and an annual program meeting each fall. Special events, workshops and seminars are also offered.

Meridian Awards Presentation - April 2010
Don’t miss the annual Meridian Award presentations scheduled for Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. in B. Barnard Birger Hall’s special events room. The Meridian Society is proud to have served more than 37 SIUE community based projects since 2004.
Wine & hors d’oeuvres Reception – April 2010
Join the Meridian Society ladies for an evening out on Thursday, April 29, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. at the Sunset Hills Country Club in Edwardsville, Illinois. Guest will enjoy a string trio while meeting new and old friends.
Wine & hors d’oeuvres Reception – April 2009 Guests enjoyed a relaxing evening at SIUE First Lady Sue Vandegrift’s Home on Thursday, April 23, 2009. Attendees mingled among the reception and heard from SIUE Professor Howard Rambsy a 2008 Meridian Award recipient.
Meridian Awards Presentation – May 2009
On May 5, 2009 ten projects were granted Meridian Awards. This year’s awards marked a milestone as the total amount awarded blossomed to over six figures. This was the largest number of awards the Meridian Society had ever distributed since 2004.
Meridian Society Annual Business Meeting – November 2008
In November 2008 the Meridian Society held their fall annual business meeting in SIUE’s newest residence Evergreen Hall. Guests enjoyed a leisurely lunch while listening to guest speaker Kasey Bergh, Communications Manager of Nestle Purina.
Meridian Awards Presentation – May 2008
On May 8, 2008 five projects were granted Meridian Awards. An award celebration took place in B. Barnard Birger Hall. More than $80,000 has been distributed in awards since 2004.
Women’s Philanthropy & Leadership Workshop – April 2008
On April 3, 2008 more than 150 women gathered for the Women’s Philanthropy and Leadership Workshop Time Talent and Treasures. This one-day workshop featured an impressive line up philanthropic nationally-known and St. Louis influential women. The keynote speaker for the event was Sister Mary Jean Ryan, President and Chief Executive Officer of SSM Health Care.

On May 3, 2007 four projects were granted Meridian Awards. An award celebration took place in B. Barnard Birger Hall. This year was the year for “lasting impressions” representation from all three campuses has been granted awards.

Guests enjoyed a fall luncheon, meeting and presentation “Where There is a Will, There is a Way” presented by Cathy Cullen, of Community Link, in Breese, Illinois and James Maher, of Merrill Lynch, in Swansea, Illinois.
