The inaugural Heritage Society Luncheon was held on April 22, 2010 at Sunset Hills Country Club in Edwardsville, IL. The event was enjoyed by many members of the society which honors those whom have remembered SIUE in their estate plans.
Elizabeth Kerseraukis, SIUE’s Executive Director of Marketing and Communications gave a wonderful presentation on how social media is changing the way in which we communicate with each other as well as prospective students and alumni and friends of the University.
Patrick Hundley, Vice Chancellor of University Relations & CEO of the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Foundation gave an interesting presentation on how planned gifts had benefited the University over the years. He emphasized how important private philanthropy will continue to be in order to ensure quality education for our future generations of students!
Next year’s lunch will be held on campus in Birger Hall in the springtime. Please give me a call if you have any questions or concerns at (618) 650-3331.
Special thanks goes to Steve Jankowski our emcee for the lunch!
I hope to see you next year for another chance to meet and mingle with our friends and alumni of SIUE.
Thanks,
Jeffrey Brown, CFP
Director of Planned Giving
