Serving as the liaison for businesses and other organizations that are looking to create partnerships with SIUE's students, faculty, programs, and campus organizations, the Corporate & Foundation Relations Office encourages the development and growth of these relationships. By collaborating with deans, directors, and administrators along with corporate and foundation leaders, we work to keep SIUE on the leading edge of higher education, benefiting both our students and our community. There are also opportunities for the businesses and other organizations to take advantage of numerous training, education, development and recruiting opportunities at SIUE.
At SIUE, we practice “donor-driven fund raising," meaning that the University works to ensure that the philanthropic goals of the donor are met. Having noted that, the University does have explicit needs for funds in the following areas:

A growing endowment benefits students by establishing a means for programs to further research and then present the latest in theoretical and applied knowledge to their students. The University benefits as the endowment grows, allowing resources to be allocated to initiatives that are necessary but fall on the perimeter of budget resources.
