The Shakespearean Garden is stunning this spring. Multiple iris and peony cultivars in full bloom are surrounded by lush, fragrant herbs all wrapped in the curved beds of what we affectionately call Shakes Garden. Our talented Master Gardener volunteers designed, planted, and maintain this fabulous addition to The Gardens. Keep an eye out for the new roses scheduled to appear in Shakes Garden this summer!
Several young Red Buckeye, Aesculus pavia, trees can be found near Shakes Garden. Look for their stunning floral show this spring. One of the first trees to leaf out each spring, they set their red tubular flowers about the same time the Ruby-throated Hummingbirds return each year.
