The Gardens will be bursting with color for this family-friendly event designed to engage both children and adults.
Begin your afternoon with a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony for the new Treetop pedestrian bridge which connects the new eco-friendly parking lot to garden attractions. As guests stroll across the bridge and into The Gardens, they will encounter display, craft and presentation stations.
Members of the SIUE Natural Connections student organization will discuss homegrown sustainability in the family garden; the Master Gardeners will explain plantings and new installations; and you will learn about our newest designation, Monarch Butterfly Way-Finding Station. Our younger visitors will be engaged with face painting, pumpkin painting and construction of eco-friendly birdfeeders.
