The Gardens at SIUE is a 35 acre public botanical garden on the campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Recognized by the Missouri Botanical Garden as a Signature Garden, The Gardens currently include natural areas, gardens, and sculpture arranged in a landscaped setting.
A one-half mile long walking path meanders through woodlands and across grasslands to connect visitors with nature and gardens including the Hardy Family Wind Forest, the Edward Chase Garvey Memorial Gardens, and the Donal Myer Arboretum. An arched bridge over the north pond includes an overlook seating area and visitors arrive on the far side in a grove of White Pines.
The Gardens future includes new and renovated gardens, educational programs, special events and more. These enhancements will be guided by The Gardens Steering Committee and a master plan prepared by Terra Design Studios.
