Hungarian Dances from Vajdaszentivány
in a workshop by
József Salamon and Emese Fazakás

January 22 - 23, 2000
University City (St. Louis), Missouri

With support from
Regional Arts, Arts & Education, Ameren UE

József Salamon and Emese Fazakás have created quite a sensation with their stylish teaching of these beautiful dances. The dances are a lot of fun to do, and the music is well liked. Salamon and Fazakás are very good at making the dances comfortable and not too difficult. This is a unique opportunity. Since their stay in the United States is temporary, this may be your only chance to see them.

Salamon and Fazakás live in Marosvásárhely, Transylvania, and are in Chicago for a temporary visit. Salamon teaches at a táncház in Marosvásárhely, and also does choreography for two performing groups, one of which he also directs. Their recent teaching of the Vajdaszentiványi dance Sebes Forduló in Chicago brought participants from Ann Arbor, Toronto, Madison, and St. Louis. You really don't want to miss this workshop!
