About the Artists

Yves Moreau, from Montreal, Quebec, is one of the most well-known and respected folk dance teachers in North America. He has introduced and taught a variety of folk dances from the Balkan countries, Brittany, and Quebec. Pinosavka, Cetvorno Horo, Dobra Nevesto, La Bastringue, and Laridée are among the most popular dances that he has introduced. Yves teaches village material which has been collected during his many field trips to Europe. His teaching method is clear and thorough yet relaxed. Yves is co-director of Folklora Balkana, which has produced CD's of Bulgarian music with some of Bulgaria's finest folk musicians and singers.
