What does the 2019 Focus on Teaching and Technology Conference look like?

  1. Our keynote address and workshop is in going to be held in The Touhill Performing Arts Center on Thursday, September 26, 2019. 
  2. We will have exhibitors in the hall on both days of the conference, Thursday and Friday. 
  3. Both days offer concurrent sessions and workshops. You can register for one or both days at a discounted rate. It's free if your institution is a Gold sponsor. See below for details.

Peter Felten is assistant provost for teaching and learning, executive director of the Center for Engaged Learning, and professor of history.  His recent publications include the co-authored books The Undergraduate Experience (Jossey-Bass, 2016), Transforming Students: Fulfilling the Promise of Higher Education (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2014), and Engaging Students as Partners in Learning and Teaching (Jossey-Bass, 2014). From 2010-2011, he served as president of the POD Network, and in 2016-2017 he is president of the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. He also is a co-editor of the International Journal for Academic Development. Learn more about Peter’s scholarship.

You don't need a coupon code to apply a discount to your registration. As you register, available discounts will automatically be applied to your shopping cart. Registration Instructions

Note: If you are a faculty/staff member from a sponsoring institution or a speaker on the program, please indicate this during the registration process. Your discounts will be applied on the final page of the checkout.

  1. Open the link to the registration system, then select which day (or both) of the conference you want to attend. Click Choose to pick the option you want. 
  2. The page will reload, then scroll down a bit to Register for a new account or select Guest Checkout. (If you register for an account, you can manage your receipt and registration later.) 
  3. Carefully type your first and last name and email address. Choose your registration type. Most participants will are considered "General Registration."
  4. Be sure to identify your university / professional affiliation to receive any associated discounts.
  5. To help us get an accurate idea of who attends the conference, please select your role.
  6. Then, indicate which days you will be joining us for lunch and let us know if you have any special dietary requirements.
  7. Click Continue.
  8. You may register another participant at this time or click Checkout on the right side of the pop-up window.
  9. Review your name, email and conference option. You will see that any applicable discounts were automatically applied to your cart. When you're ready, click Process Order
